Joey in SF

A good friend of mine from junior high was in town last week. He was enjoying a little road trip from Federal Way to and through California in his brand new Lancer. Here are some minimally stylized photos I took of his new whip. And some delicious photos of Umami burgers.

First, the food:
The special at Umami that weekend was the Korean BBQ burger. Korean BBQ marinated beef, topped with caramelized onions, chopped kimchee, and green onions.

The classic Umami burger. Medium rare burger with shiitake mushrooms, caramelized onions, a parmesan cheese crisp, slow cooked tomato, all on a perfectly toasted bun for the perfect combination of crunchy, juicy and all around flavorful.

And of course, if they aren't sold out, you have to have the "secret menu" item of cheesy tater tots with parmesan cheese baked on the inside accompanied by sides of creamy aioli and house made, slow roasted tomato ketchup.

Now the car:
Clearly, Joey takes good care of his new baby. This is the after driving from Washington to SF.

Joey's one "ricer mod". Blue lights for the pedals and passenger side foot rest. It looks pretty sweet on the new ride.

Congratulations to Joey for the sweet new ride and, more importantly his sweet new job at Disney in Seattle! The car and the trip were sort of a pat on the back for his awesome achievement. I will be taking more photos of the car with new rims when I go back to SEA in November, so stay tuned.

I'll be wearing my fish-adorned purple party pants! (And hopefully not be stuck in the hospital)
