My Friend's Big Fat Indian Wedding

(NOTE: This is a very special post. I chose to use mainly the professional photos taken at the wedding, hand selected by the bride. Thusly, all photos in this post are by Harvard Photography unless, indicated otherwise. Click on the photo to enlarge. Please enjoy!)

This is it. The much anticipated wedding of Neha and Adam. You may remember Neha from her bridal shower in June and the review of her invitations. This wedding was such a big deal I planned my Japan trip around it! The wedding ceremony and reception was held on Sunday, July 25 at the Richard Nixon Library in Orange County. This post will just cover the wedding day (not Sangeet, the night before), that's how big this thing was! Don't believe me? See for yourself...
Neha has a few words to share:

SM: What was the most memorable moment for you?
Neha: Walking down the aisle, sneaking a peek to look at Adam (he was standing at the mandap (alter) with a big grin on his face!)

SM: What would you have changed?
Neha: The groom perhaps, just kidding. Everything was perfect!
SM: What was your photography schedule like on the big day?
Neha: We took pictures before the wedding with the family and after the wedding when we "changed" our outfit. It was recommended that we take pictures before with the family because of the way our wedding was planned out. We had about an hour and a half to change in between the ceremony and the reception and that was just enough time to take family pictures.
SM: Any advice for brides to be?
Neha: There are things that are not going to happen the way you envision it to be. Instead of freaking out, go with the flow and enjoy your day!
SM: Sage advice from every wedding planner's dream bride!

There were a LOT of performances!

By SurelyMaeby. I usually don't like these long shutter speed photos, but I love her expression here. Doesn't she have a fantastic smile!
Adam serenaded her with Across the Universe by the Beatles

The food was amazing! A buffet of Indian and Italian cuisine. But, of course, dessert was my favorite! An array of truffles, chocolate covered strawberries, puff pastries, deliciously moist cake, and a HUGE edible sugar sculpture!
Congratulations, Neha & Adam! Your marriage will be as beautiful as your wedding!

It must have been a great wedding.
I am now so sorry that I could not be there.
I wish I could!
Congratulations to Neha and Adam.

Thanks, K! The pro photos are amazing! What I loved the most (and unfortunately doesn't translate here) was the way everything tied together, Specifically the music from the Neha's story during Sangeet and her wedding song when she walked down the aisle. It was a great production, and of course I mean that in the most sincere way!
