If You're Tired, You Take a Napa...

You don't go to Napa! Unless it's the 4th of July and you want to enjoy a quaint little part of the Bay and do some day drinking. Melody's official birthday on the 4th of July and instead of driving south for 8 hours with George Michael, I decided to drive northeast for 2 hours to meet up for the festivities. Here are a few highlights from when I did remember to pull out the camera.

We did a tasting at Beringer Estates where I bought a delicious souvenir to enjoy later.

Afterwards, we went to Gott's, a cute, classic style burger drive in with a few not so classic menu items.  Some might be weary of ordering raw tuna from a drive in, but we're in Napa, baby!  A gourmet food lover's dream.
As you can see, it was well worth the risk!
Ahi Poke Crispy Taco.

I love this style of onion ring. A nice light beer batter and no bread crumbs!

This old school delight pulled into the drive in shortly after we did. The whole day was impromptu and fabulous. At the end, we saw a ton of people sitting out on the side of the road for fireworks and we pulled over after we passed them.  We walked back just to the edge of the crowd and ended up with the best view in the house. All in all, it was a pretty nice little Wednesday.
