Foggin' Exhausted

I was in SF this weekend picking up the keys to my new apartment with a friend. It was a nice weekend for photos and site seeing.

The view from our hotel room in the morning.

Our view from the room at night.

Lombard street.

Lombard street from the cable car.

Me and Sara in the cable car. Blurry, but soooo fun! I highly recommend a cable car ride in SF!
Russian Hill from Fisherman's Wharf.

Pier 39.

Financial District.

Everything was going swimmingly. I got measurements for my apartment and even found an awesome office. A perfect little vacation ending right in time to celebrate the new year. Or so I thought. Our 6:10 pm flight was CANCELLED due to FOG in SD! WTF! So was the next flight to Orange County and the next flight to SD would leave at 5 pm the next day. We got our tickets changed to LAX, but we had a feeling that it would also be cancelled due to fog, especially since they did not start boarding the 8:15 flight by 7:50 when we decided to get a refund and avoid the long line when they announced it. Normally, I would just spend new year in SF and stay at my uncle's in San Ramon, but my friend had school on Monday and had not yet started reading. So we rented a car. Long story short, I made it to SD by 4:30 am despite patches of thick fog. I also very thoroughly freaked out a woman who was driving solo by pacing her for about a hundred miles and making a pit stop at the same gas station at the same time. Needless to say, I'm starting 2012 foggin exhausted!

P.S. that flight to LAX was NOT cancelled! WTF here was definitely fog there when we drove through!

you're a trooper. and you would think that the aviation industry with its high-end technology would have figured out a solution for fog.
