Blacked Out

The weather has been pretty extreme lately. Last week, it was in the high 90s and low 100s with severe humidity. Of course, being in SD where the weather is very mild, people cranked up their ACs all day and night causing a power outage for about 8 hours on Thursday night. It was nice to be unplugged for a while, but for the amount of unruliness and poor driving that took place, you'd think that not checking Facebook or watching TV was the end of the world.

 Board games just aren't as fun with two people. So we read Calvin and Hobbes.

Played light games with the kitties.

And visited Mt. Soledad to try to get some good pictures, but there was too much smog and smoke from sparklers. As it turns out, if you want to know where the a-holes and their families in SD hang out during a blackout, it's here.
